We are up to make two films early this year, and both for National and eventually International screening and as always, I am very much excited every time I get to shoot another film. Its like a pill that makes me want to take again… (lol)

Anyway, it’s a go for films this year, best welcome home gift from friends and fellow filmmakers :)

First off: I will be shooting with my Micromedia Team this end of the month for ANC’s AMBISYON 2010.

It is a nation that lives by its stories: housewives living through the eight pm soap opera, teenagers who toss meager allowances on movie tickets, the audience that shakes its head over the daily news. AmBisyon is about the dreams of a nation, the vision of a future in the context of a country locked in poverty. It is about hope, possibility, truth—through the lenses of those who tell its stories.

In amBisyon2010, the ABS-CBN News Channel brings together twenty independent filmmakers who will tackle their version of the state of the nation. Corruption, Democracy, Economy Education, Environment, Health, Justice and Human Rights, Population, Poverty and Security: these are the issues that will determine who will take on the national leadership in the elections of 2010.

Fifteen of the filmmakers have seen their films make the rounds of the international circuit, alternately disturbing and celebrating, pushing audiences to see what they see. On a budget of P30,000, each filmmaker will produce a short film that pictures their vision of the nation after 2010. The films will have their theater premiere in late February of 2010, three months before the national elections. For ten weeks after, ANC will air the short films in weekly prime time episodes, together with behind the scenes interviews with the filmmakers.

Among the renowned Independent Filmmakers gathered in this big event are Jeffry Jeturian, Erik Matti, Ditsi Carolino, Kiri Dalena, Ellen Ramos, Jon Red, John Torres, Brillante Mendosa, and Raymond Red among others. They will be joined by budding filmmakers, who qualified to the six slot: McRobert Nacario, the only filmmaker who was awarded the slot in Mindanao.  Anna Matutina, Pam Miras, Aissa Penafiel, Emerson Reyes and Gym Lumbero.

Hmmm… cant wait for the first day of shoot, gonna be preparing a lot here. Since I wanted to share my film activities I’m gonna be uploading some pictures and little videos throughout my shoot and until the viewing date. See yah! :)
